MCPSS students swept the 99th annual Mobile County Spelling Bee, which was presented by the 68 Ventures Bowl and Mobile County Public Schools. Held at Mary G. Montgomery High on February 7, the Spelling Bee drew 52 competitors from schools throughout the region. The winning word was "norovirus." Congratulations to:
• Carson Floyd of Grand Bay Middle School, first place
• Baileigh Mosley Stokes of Council Traditional, second place
• Aaryan Sharma of Denton Magnet School of Technology, third place
All of the school winners will receive tickets to the 68 Ventures Bowl game, and the top three finishers received cash awards and trophies. Great job!
